Please include a feature that mutes the audio or inserts studio silence instead of cutting it. This is helpful when a pause is desired instead of cutting a portion shorter.

SITUATION: I had an edit that I wanted to have some time to build between sentences. It was a moment a character was "pausing to consider." That portion of silence in the recording had some background rattles and knocks from the table. When I cut out that distracting sound, it made the wait only too short.
